Indonesian stocks inch up by 0.71%

JAKARTA: Indonesian shares rose 0.71% at closing session this afternoon.Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) added 26.09 points to close at 3,722.35 after moving as low as 3,696.73.For almost share that rose in the index, one stock fell.PT Adaro Energy led the gain with 3.83 points, followed by PT Gudang Garam with 3.11 points, PT Bank Central Asia with 2.92 points and PT Bumi Resources with 2.49 points.Shares that slackened the index's gain were PT Bank Negara Indonesia with -7.23 points, PT XL Axiata with -1.53 points, PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur with -1.22 points and PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia with -1.21 points.The stronger IDX was contributed by eight of nine sectoral indexes, among which were mining with contribution of 41.12%, consumer goods with 20.96% and trade and services with 14.45%.In line with positive JCI, BISNIS-27 Index was also up 2.43 points or 0.74% to 330.35.
