Indonesian stocks slip by 0.04%

JAKARTA: Indonesian stocks fell 0.04% to 3,784.66 in opening session, led by Astra International.Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) lost 1.44 points from yesterday's closing at 3,786.10 after moving between 3,734.813,784.66. Among 418 stocks supporting the index, 38 stocks rose while 113 fell and 267 were unchanged.PT Astra International led the drop in the index with minus 4.83 points, followed by PT Bank Central Asia with minus 4.37 points, PT Bank Negara Indonesia with minus 3.86 points and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia with minus 3.65 points.Stocks supporting the index were PT PT Tambang Batubara with 0.68 points, PT Dian Swastatika with 0.32 points, PT Aneka Tambang with 0.29 points, and PT Bayan Resources with 0.19.The drop was contributed by eight of nine sectors listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX), led by financial sector (-34.78%), infrastructure, utility and transportation (-22.99%), basic industry and chemical (-10.00%), miscellaneous industry (-8.34%), mining (-7.85%), consumer goods (-6.76), agriculture (-3.82), and construction, property and real estate (-2.80).BISNIS-27 index also fell 336.81 in the opening from yesterdays closing at 337.03 after moving 331.49336.81.
