CIMB Niaga appoints 2 new directors

JAKARTA: Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPSLB) of PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk held today agreed on an appointment of Samir Gupta and Megawati Sutanto to sit as directors.Then, they will serve the positions effectively after pocketing an approval from Indonesia Bank until an annual general meeting of shareholders is closed for book year of 2012 held in 2013.In addition, Arwin Rasyid, President Director of CIMB Niaga, also revelaed that Samir Gupta will pocket a posisiton of Sales and Distribution Director of CIMB Niaga. While, Megawati Sutanto will serve as Credit Director of CIMB Niaga.Graduated from University of Bombay, India majoring on Marketing, Samir Gupta had ever sit senior positions in Citibank NA as Chief Risk Officer in Turkey branch, Retail Assets Head in Dubai, and Chief Operating Officer in Thailand.On the other hand, Megawati Sutanto, graduated from Pepperdine University USA majoring on Bussiness Administration, also had high position previously as Head Corporate Banking of PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk, Credit Head of PT Bank DBS Indonesia, and Head Credit Wholesale Banking of Standard Chartered Bank.
