Bukit Makmur eyeing 6 coal contracts

JAKARTA: Indonesia's second largest coal mining contractor PT Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama (BUMA) is eyeing six contracts in the pipeline with high probability of winning.In a presentation material published by PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk (DOID), parent of BUMA, reveals that BUMA has recently grabed US$200 million new contract from PT Arutmin Indonesia.BUMA also signed contracy in June 2010 with PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) and renewed PT Kideco Jaya Agung's contract for an additional 10 years signed in October 2009. The company has ordered US$280 million equipments for delivery up to 2012 with Caterpillar, Komatsu, and Hitachi."Big equipment is to ensure the traffic congestion in the mines will be reduced and to lower some of the cost compared to smaller size trucks," said the material.
