JAKARTA: UBS has appointed Rajiv Louis as country head for Indonesia. Louis currently serving as head of Investment Banking Division UBS Indonesia will be responsible for strengthening UBS' existence and implementing an integrated banking strategy to UBS' clients along with company's policy to keep investing in Indonesian market."Indonesia is an economic giant in Southeast Asia and Rajiv's appointment confirms our long-term commitment there," said Alex Wilmot-Sitwell, Co-Chairman and Co-CEO, UBS Group Asia Pacific, as quoted in a press release sent to Bisnis. Rajiv has served for more than 15 years in Asia's financial industry. For the past seven years, he headed UBS Indonesia's Investment Banking Division. He gave big constribution to UBS in the rights issue of PT Bank Negara Indonesia, the biggest privatization in Indonesia, besides advising for BHP Billiton's sale of coal proccessing assets to PT Adaro Energy.
