Indonesian stocks slip 0.46% in closing session

JAKARTA: Indonesian stocks lost 16.76 points at the end of trading session this afternoon. The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) trimmed by 0.46% to 3,620.68 from yesterdays closing at 3,637.45.The index moved within the range of 3,610.57 3,649.98 with almost two shares falling for every share that rose.PT Bank Central Asia led the downfall with minus 7.35 points, followed by PT Adaro Energy with minus 2.85 points, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia with minus 2.40 points and PT Gudang Garam with minus 1.72 points.Shares that supported the index were PT Bayan Resources with 2.18 points, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara with 2.16 points, PT Bank Mandiri with 1.24 points and PT International Nickel Indonesia with 1.18 points.Eight sectoral indexes put burden on the benchmark index by moving in negative areas like finance with minus 55.78%, consumer goods with minus 17.46% and basic industry and chemical with minus 13.29%.BISNIS-27 Index also slipped 2.71 points or 0.85% to 317.27. The index moved between 316.31-320.91. From Asia, there were mixed pictures at the markets with correction at Japanese Nikkei but Hang Seng and Kospi gained on Li Ka-Shing's Cheung-Kong IPO (initial public offering) and positive automotive shares.
