JAKARTA: Indonesias market authorities in corporation with University of Indonesia (UI) launched an educational and skills institute focusing in capital market, namely The Indonesian Capital Market Institute (TICMI) located in UIs campus, Salemba.
TICMIs establishment happens to be the commitment realization of Capital Market and Financial Institution Supervisory Agency (Bapepam-LK), Indonesias Stock Exchange, and other Self Regulatory Organization (SRO) in further developing Indonesias capital market.We fully realized that we require professional employees amidst the developed Indonesias capital market merely to support the progress of Indonesias market, said IDXs President Director, Ito Warsito in his opening remarks today.The establishment of such educational institution aims to produce professional human resources, give the opportunities for society as well as enhance the skills of professional workers to poses sufficient knowledge of capital market.In the short run, he further explained that TICMI focuses to the educational and skills training to be a good vice underwriter, vice investment manager and vice broker.In order to maintain the quality of educational process, TICMI partners with Indonesias Educational Capital Market Association to establish the standard of the material, such as providing the syllabus and teaching materials.The launch was also attended by the Head of Bapepam-LK, Fuad Rahmany, and President Director of IDX, Ito Warsito and UIs Vice Rector.
