JAKARTA: PT Bakrie Telecom, a telecommunication company, is ready to anticipate the hike of telecommunication traffic in voice, short messages, and data using Esia and Aha services during Christmas day until New Year. The private telecommunication company in that case has done network optimization.Mohammad Danny Buldansyah, Vice President Director of PT Bakrie Telecom, confirmed that it no more focuses on building additional base transceiver station (BTS), but on network optimization.During 2010 Lebaran Day, Bakrie Telecom experienced traffic hike, particularly in short message service (SMS) which was up to 46%.In the meantime, traffic of voice service went down in Jakarta, but rose in several destinations in West Java, Central Java, and East java.Referring to 2009 data, traffic hike in call and SMS services occured from December 23 to January 3.(T01/NOM)
