Tata Steel announces Riversdale Mining acquisition

JAKARTA: Tata Steel Group announced a takrover bid for Riversdale Mining, Australia.As announced by the company at Singapore Stock Exchange today, Tata Steel will evaluate the takeover bid in the context of other alternatives available to Tata Steel.Established in 1907 as Asia's first integrated private sector steel company, Tata Steel Group is among the top ten global steel companies with an annual crude steel capacity of over 28 million tons per annum.The company, with a turnover of US$22.8 billion in full year 1020, has over 80,000 employees across five continents and is a Fortune 500 company.
