JAKARTA: Bank Mandiri drove Indonesian share 0,46 points higher in todays opening session from last weeks closing at 3,611.53 to 3,611.99.
The index swung within the range of 3,601.48 and 3,614.02. Nearly 33 stocks rose, 39 stocks slipped and the remaining 348 stocks were unchanged.Bank Mandiri led the gain with 3.71 points of contribution, followed by Bank Central Asia with 2.90 points, Tambang Batubara with 0,69 points and Pan Indonesia with 0.57 points.Some stocks retained the index from further gain were Gudang Garam which slipped 3.43 points. Bank Rakyat Indonesia tailed with (-2.18 points) while Unilever Indonesia and Bank International Indonesia gave negative contribution of 1.81 points and 1.32 points respectively.Nearly six out of nine sectors listed in Indonesias Stock Exchange recorded positive movement particularly mining sector as much as 85.29%, followed by miscellaneous industry with 47.44%, financial sector with 47.38%, infrastructure, utility and transportation with 40.48%, basic industry and chemical with 23.15% and agriculture industry with 10.71%.
