Indonesian stocks plunge 1.31% at midday break

JAKARTA: Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) was closed down 1.31% or 44.23 points to 3,336.26 at midday break from the opening at 3,380.49, led by Bank Mandiri.The index moved in range of 3,335.39 3,396.84. Among 423 stocks listed at Jakarta Composite Index (JCI), 55 stock rose and 135 fell while 233 were unchanged.PT Bank Mandiri led the indexs drop by -4.916 points, followed by PT Bank Central Asia -4.329 points, PT Indo Tambangraya -3.140 points, and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara -2.866 points.Meanwhile, the stocks that restrained the index from further drop were PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia with 3.610 points, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia with 1.192 points, PT Bayan Resources with 0.591 points and PT Medco Energi International with 0.591 points.Nine sectors gave negative contribution, led by financial sector -23.67%, mining -17.48%, consumer goods -14.18%, utility, infrastructure and transportation -10.37%, construction, property and real estate -8.32%, basic industry -8.32%, trade and service -7.56%, miscellaneous industry -4.11% and agriculture -3.62%.BISNIS-27 index also lost -4.236 points to 282.417 from 286.797 and moved in range of 282.364 288.107.
