Unilever leads JCI shrink by 0.80%

JAKARTA: Indonesian stocks continued to drop as they lost 27.77 points or 0.80% to 3,459.93 in the end of second trading session from 3,487.71 yesterday.Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) moved within the range of 3,450.05 3,500.46. Among 421 stocks supporting the index, 49 rose, 167 fell and 205 were unchanged.PT Unilever Indonesia led the indexs drop with minus 5.94 points, followed by PT Astra International minus 3.15 points, PT Bank Central Asia minus 2.92 points, and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara with 2.90 points.Stocks that restrained the index from further drop were PT Bank Mandiri with 1.25 points, PT XL Axiata 1.02 points, PT Indofood Sukses 0.79 point, and PT International Nickel Indonesia 0.60 point.All nine sectors listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) gave negative contributions, led by consumer goods -18.77%, finance -18.10%, mining -15.54%, miscellaneous industry -14.28%, trade and services -10.21%, basic industry and chemical -8.37%, infrastructure, utility and transportation -5.87%, construction, property and real estate -4.03%, and agriculture -3.45%.BISNIS-27 Index also continued to sink by 2.07 points or 0.69% to 298.72 from yesterdays closing at 300.79 after moving between 297.89 302.49.
