JCI rebounds 0.54% to 3,391.77, led by BCA

JAKARTA: Indonesian stocks were closed down higher 0.54% to 3,391.77 after continued to sink for a few days.Based on Bloomberg data, the indexs gain was supported by the increased shares of Bank Central Asia (BCA) and Unilever Indonesia.Among 421 stocks calculated by JCI, 84 stocks rose, 96 fell and 214 were stagnant.BCA contributed 4.36 points for the indexs gain, followed by Unilever 3.18 points, Adaro Energy 2.80 points and Bumi Resources 2.45 points.Yet, the declined shares of Perusahaan Gas Negara suppressed the JCI with 4.33 points, followed by Bank Mandiri 2.75 points, Telekomunikasi 2.40 points and Bank Danamon 1.99 points.The stocks price of Garuda Indonesia in the initial listing this afternoon was closed down 17.33% to IDR620 per stock from initial price at IDR750. BISNIS-27 Index rose 1.05% to 294.82.In Asia, Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong rose 0.53% to 22,828.92. Shanghai SE Index also rose 0.33% to 2,827.33.Taiex Index in Taiwan fell 2.57% to 8,609.86, South Koreas Kospi fell 1.56% to 1,977.19 while Singapores Straits Times also fell 0.61% to 3,084.32.
