Bisnis.com, JAKARTA – Indonesia fintech peer-to-peer (P2P) lending startups have been shrinking since 2021 as the regulators keep improving toward a better environment.
The Financial Services Authority (OJK) revealed that licensed P2P fintech operators were reduced to only 103 companies through January 3, 2022, from 148 registered and licensed platforms in 2020.
The most recent business leaving the industry was PT Kas Wagon Indonesia, which canceled its register certificate as it did not meet the provision in Article 10 of Financial Services Authority (OJK) Regulation No.77/2016 on Information Technology-Based Lending and Borrowing Services.
